BIMI with WebMon

BIMI: your verified logo, next to every message in the inbox.

BIMI shows your brand's official logo beside your mail in supporting inboxes, but only if your domain already enforces DMARC at quarantine or reject. WebMon verifies that requirement, validates your SVG logo and VMC certificate, and publishes the BIMI record correctly.

In short

What is BIMI?

What it is

BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) is a public standard that lets your brand logo appear next to your mail. It is published as a TXT record at default._bimi.yourdomain pointing to an SVG-format logo.

How it works

When a supporting inbox receives a message that passes DMARC, it queries the BIMI record, downloads the SVG logo and, if a valid VMC certificate exists, displays it next to the sender as an authenticity indicator.

Who it's for

Brands that already authenticated their mail with DMARC at enforcement and want to reinforce recognition and trust: banking, retail, airlines and any high-volume sender.

What problem it solves

It gives a visual trust signal in the inbox and hinders spoofing: only a domain authenticated with DMARC and VMC can show the logo, helping users tell real mail apart.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need DMARC to use BIMI?

Yes. BIMI requires your domain to have DMARC at a quarantine or reject policy. Without that enforcement, inboxes will not show your logo even if you publish the BIMI record.

What is a VMC certificate?

The Verified Mark Certificate attests that your brand owns the rights to the logo, usually via a trademark. Several inboxes, such as Gmail, require it to display the logo.

Why does my logo not appear?

Typical causes are DMARC without enforcement, a logo that does not meet the SVG Tiny P/S profile, or a missing or expired VMC. WebMon checks each requirement and tells you what to fix.

How does WebMon help with BIMI?

WebMon confirms your DMARC, validates the SVG logo and VMC certificate, and publishes the correct BIMI record, with support from the SGS 24/7 SOC in Costa Rica.
